W tym roku rozszerzamy formułę konkursu i zapraszamy do udziału reżyserki – kobiety filmu z całego świata. Liczymy, że w październiku spotkamy się w Lublinie, który na 5 dni stanie się międzynarodową stolicą kina, które włącza. Kolejną nowością jest poszerzenie konkursu także o projekcje on-line i spotkania z twórczyniami w przestrzeni wirtualnej.

between today and 20 August, we are awaiting your submissions to the “Let’s Start the Revolution” competition within the 2020 Women’s Film Festival – Demakijaż.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Festival and we’ve decided to widen the frame of the competition by inviting women directors from every corner of the globe. We hope that in October we’ll meet in person in Lublin, which for five consecutive days will turn into the international capital of inclusive cinematography.

We’ve also expanded the competition by introducing online screenings of short-listed films and Q & As with directors.

Regulamin konkursu na krótki metraż w ramach Demakijażu – Festiwalu Kina Kobiet (21-25 października 2020 roku)

1. O udział w festiwalowym konkursie Let's Start the Revolution mogą ubiegać się filmy krótkometrażowe o czasie trwania do 30 minut projekcji, wyreżyserowane w latach 2018 – 2020 przez kobiety/ osoby z doświadczeniem funkcjonowania w roli kobiety, które rozpoczynają swoją karierę filmową.

2. Zgodnie z ideą Festiwalu, w szczególności zapraszamy filmy pokazujące różnorodne praktyki kobiecości.

3. Zgłoszenia powinny zostać nadesłane poprzez platformę filmfreeway.com https://filmfreeway.com/WomensFilmFestival-Demakijaz

4. Do zgłoszenia należy dołączyć angielską listę dialogową oraz biogram twórczyni.

5. Biuro Organizacyjne Festiwalu przyjmuje zgłoszenia do konkursu od 23 czerwca do 20 sierpnia 2020 r.

6. O dopuszczeniu filmu do konkursu decyduje Komitet Organizacyjny, po zakończeniu prac Komisji Selekcyjnej. Zgłaszający filmy do selekcji zostaną poinformowani o przyjęciu filmów do konkursu drogą mailową do dnia 15 września 2020 r.

7. Autorki filmów zakwalifikowanych do konkursu zobowiązane są do dostarczenia organizatorkom linku do pliku cyfrowego (DCP, mov, mp4) w terminie do dnia 30 września 2020 r.

8. Filmy konkursowe ocenia publiczność Festiwalu Demakijaż. Oficjalne ogłoszenie werdyktu oraz wręczenie nagród nastąpi w dniu 25 października 2020 r. Reżyserce filmu wybranego przez publiczność przysługuje nagroda pieniężna w wysokości 1000 zł.

9. Zgłoszenie filmu do konkursu jest równoznaczne ze zgodą na projekcję w trakcie trwania festiwalu oraz dodatkowe projekcje w ramach pokazów gościnnych lub repliki konkursu FKK Demakijaż” do roku po zakończenie festiwalu.

10. Zgłaszająca wyraża także zgodę na udostępnienie filmu na stronie organizatorki w trakcie trwania festiwalu.

11. Udział osobisty lub za pomocą narzędzi on-line w Festiwalu będzie ustalany indywidualnie z twórczyniami zakwalifikowanych filmów.
12. Koszty transportu kopii przysłanych na festiwal, jak również wszelkie opłaty przewozowe związane z ich dostarczeniem ponosi zgłaszająca.

13. Festiwal zastrzega sobie prawo do odwołania konkursu, jak również przeprowadzenia go w całości w formule on-line.

Terms and Conditions of the best short film competition within Women’s Film Festival – Demakijaż (21-25 October 2020)

1. The competition is open to short-length films, not exceeding a 30-minute running time, directed in 2018-2020 by emerging women film makers / persons with the experience of functioning as women.
2. In accordance with the founding principles of the Festival, we are especially interested in showcasing films that focus on the representation of a diversity of practices of femininity.
3. All films should be submitted via https://filmfreeway.com/WomensFilmFestival-Demakijaz
4. Each submission should include English subtitles and a succinct English biography of the director.
5. The Festival Office accepts competition entries from 23 June till 20 August 2020.
6. Once the Selection Committee concludes its work, the Organising Committee makes the decision to accept the entries. All entrants whose films have been short-listed will be notified by email by 15 September 2020.
7. The directors of the short-listed films are obliged to provide the Festival Organisers with a link to the official digital file of the film (DCP, mov, mp4) by 30 September 2020.
8. The short-listed films are judged by the Festival audience. The official announcement of their decision and the award ceremony will take place on 25 October 2020. The director of the best film selected by the Festival audience will receive the main prize in the amount of 1000 PLN.
9. Entering the competition is tantamount to agreeing that the entrant’s content (film) will be screened / streamed as part of the Festival as well as part of additional guest screenings / streamings and /or replicas of the Festival within a year (12 months) from the closing of the Festival.
10. The entrant (film director) also agrees to make the film submission available online during the Festival – on the website provided by the Festival Organisers.
11. Appearing in person at the Festival – be it online or offline – will be discussed individually with the directors of the short-listed films.
12. All the costs related to the transport / transfer of film copies are borne by each entrant.
13. The Festival Organisers reserve the right to cancel the competition as well as to conduct it online in all its entirety.
