As a result of this idea, two film productions were created by Polish and Ukrainian teenagers and children living in Przemyśl. The films will be presented during the meeting. Guests: Piotr Tyma – the president of Ukrainian Association in Poland; Karolina Śmigiel from the Association of Creative Initiatives “ę”; Igor Horkiw – activist of the Ukrainian Association from Przemyśl. The meeting will be chaired by Anna Dąbrowska.

Their early infatuation with Europe quickly gives way to disillusionment; despite good results, the high cost of living and managerial fees leave their earnings at close to zero. To meet the expectations of families and German hosts, they have to start in ever more competitions. But how much can bodies not used to such extreme demands take?

The old tsar prison located 180km north of Irkutsk today houses a hospital wherefive doctors care for 1000 patients. In addition to the mentally ill, the hospital holdsdiscarded people, young and old alike, girls from orphanages which had no beds for them, and former residents of youth correctional facilities. To use the director’s words, this “social dump” is not just a metaphor for exclusion, as in so many films about psychiatric institutions, but its painfully literal reality.

New technologies help people with disabilities to overcome spatial, communicational or social barriers. Sensors, GPS, monitoring or locating devices – they are just a few examples of technological inventions helping people with disabilities to live independently. Is there any limit of the control through new technologies? Can they become a limitation invading people’s intimacy and violating their freedom?These problems will be discussed during the debate chaired by Piotr Skrzypczak.

The idea of using Franz Kafka's classic work “The Great Wall of China” as the basis for a commentary on the ongoing migrant and refugee crisis was undoubtedly very risky. In Tadhg O'Sullivan's film, however, the effect was surprisingly refreshing, as the director was able to unearth the satirical and subversive potential of Kafka's prose without sacrificing any of its depth. Not even one sentence seems unfitting here.

Through the Wall is the story of a Mexican family of illegal migrants: while Uriel was deported to Mexico, Abril and their two-year-old son remained in the United States. Érpatak is a small locality in eastern Hungary, where the mayor, Mihály Zoltán Orosz, is a representative of the ultra-right-wing political party Jobbik. Orosz introduced rule with an iron fist to Érpatak. Order, discipline, and control are the key concepts of a model that is supposed to help create a "holy, organic dictatorship." In Érpatak, social care is a privilege that has to be earned: in order to retain the right to benefits, the unemployed must take part in ostentatious public works.

In the early 1960s, a secret resort for communist notables was created near the Orlik reservoir in the eastern part of what is now the Czech Republic. Responsible for this impressive feat of modern architecture were some of the most prominent Czech architects, who, before taking on the project, were imprisoned. The modernist installation, which was never completed, has become a picturesque ruin after the fall of communism.

The customers at a tailor's store of "Madame Chapeau" are used to saying that its owner is a black woman with white skin. And indeed, although she is the last white Belgian woman running a boutique at the Gallery Ixelles in the Matongé district of
Brussels, her skills are appreciated by both the Congolese and the Cameroonians who constitute the majority of the district's inhabitants.

The eponymous father is Bassam Ayachi, a Syrian emigrant who fled to France in the 1960s, married a Frenchwoman, and became a radical imam respected in Islamist circles, although he does not hide the fact that he has a great deal of affinity for the ideas . . . that students were fighting for behind barricades in March 1968. His son, Abdel Rahman, after several run-ins with the law, leaves for Syria, with an opinion of a dangerous extremist.
